Let’s Have Home Church
For the first several hundred years, homes are exactly where churches gathered. A few biblical examples of New Testament house churches include:
- Lydia’s House (Acts 16:40)
- An Upper Room (Acts 20:8)
- Aquila and Priscilla’s house (Romans 16:3-5, 1 Corinthians 16:19)
- Nympha’s house in Laodicea (Colossians 4:15)
- Archippa’s house (Philemon 2)
Home church is family oriented and small by nature. The smallness creates greater intimacy where everyone gets to know one another better and build deep Christ-centered relationships, as well as, find accountability and discipleship leading to greater reflections of Jesus in our daily lives.
